TNAMecca Exclusive: Q&A with The Dollhouse's Marti Bell

Tomorrow night on Impact, the Dollhouse are scheduled to wrestle Brooke and Rebel in Knockouts tag team action. The Dollhouse have made quite an impact since debuting a few weeks ago as two of its members, Jade and Marti Bell, aligned with Taryn Terrell to form what will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with in the Knockouts Division. This week, Marti was kind enough to answer some questions for us, although it didn't take long before the Marti we see every week on Impact emerged. Below is our exchange:

Marti, thank you for taking the time to answer some questions for us. We truly appreciate it. Let's begin with what everyone seems to be talking about and that's the Dollhouse. It's been a few weeks since your debut and although the fans seem to enjoy the gimmick, I don't get the sense that they truly get it. Tell us, in your mind, what exactly is the Dollhouse?

"The Dollhouse is whatever we want it to be. We are the best of friends and always have each other’s backs. We are very passionate about our favorite things and having fun. We are as sweet as can be, but the second you get in any of our ways, you will suffer the consequences. The best advice I can give everyone is to let us play, let us have fun and no one gets hurt."

Could you tell us, whose idea was the Dollhouse and how much input did you have in its creation? And currently its development.

"Were you not listening to me? I told you, we’re best friends. Why would you need to know anything else?"

OK...could you answer this then? Is the Dollhouse recruiting new members or is this a case where you, Jade, and Taryn Terrell are the Dollhouse?

"WE are the Dollhouse. When you have DFF’s like us [Dollhouse Friends Forever], you don’t need anyone else."

Tell us a little about your relationship with Jade. How far back do the two of you go and how it is working with her so closely on in mainstream company with international exposure?

"Jade is my big little sister. We have been DFF’s for over 5 years and I couldn’t imagine being here with anyone else. It has been so much fun playing with her in a company with so much international exposure, and I think our playtime translates well into other languages, don’t you think?"

Yes. How about Taryn Terrell? How well did you know her before coming to TNA?

"I think both Jade and I have been curious about Taryn for years; not only is she beautiful, but she is tough and talented, the perfect combination to be a DFF!"

One thing that fans are curious about is the jawbreaker? How did that come about and what does it represent exactly, especially the act of shoving it into your opponents' mouths?

"The jawbreaker perfectly describes us; we are sweet as can be on the outside but if you try to break us, we are sour and WILL hurt you. What better way to quiet someone down than to give them a jawbreaker?"

Marti, how has your experience in TNA been so far? Are you enjoying your time?

"So far, it has been an amazing experience. I have had so much fun and I know that it is obvious when you watch us that we are just having the time of our lives. I am excited to go down the whole roster and keep playing with everyone. Just think about how much fun we will have!"

How did you feel about A Night of Knockouts? Did it come across on television as well as you had hoped?

"A Night of Knockouts is always such a treat, not only for us but for the fans as well. It’s a great opportunity to see match-ups you may have never seen before and it’s a great way for the fans to meet new wrestlers, such as myself. I had a great time and even broke a couple of hearts along the way, all in all, it was a great time!"

And lastly, before I let you go. You've been wrestling in the indies for quite some time now. Tell us, what is the overall perception of the Knockouts Division the ladies who work the indies?

"I can only speak for myself, but from the outside looking in, I knew that the Knockouts were the best in the world; from putting on the best matches in wrestling to their determination and their will to make the Knockouts the most talked about women in all of wrestling."

Marti, again, thank you so much for doing this. And welcome to TNA.

"Thank YOU! And remember…it’s PLAYTIME."
